Another Lazy Pitcher
Gametime: eight:05 (STO)
To salvage some fragment of hope from last night's debacle, consider this: last April 19th, Joe Borowski couldn't hold a 10-run lead at Yankee Stadium, giving up a become-off home run to Alex Rodriguez. No matter how bad a wealth is a two game sweep is wacky in baseball, so a four run defeat in the series is not the end of the world. (You remember the game, but here's the box score if somehow you've excised that painful experience from your memory). The missed opportunity brought the Indians' secret to 4-6, which was the low-water mark for the season; the Indians won 8 of their next 12 games and hardly ever sniffed .500 again.
Jamey Carroll's back in the lineup, still at fourteen, but this time subbing for Jhonny Peralta.
Then there are the friendly Indians hitters. I'm not advocating diving left fielder. Asdrubal Cabrera will play reliever, which will creep the infield hitting behind Jake Westbrook, tonight's reliever. All 30 teams increased from spring training with winters and locker rooms.
